Mondays 7.30pm - 9.30pm in the Mind and Body Studio, Qmotion
What makes your training sessions enjoyable?
We practice Wing Chun Kung Fu, a self-defence martial art that teaches how to generate power in short distances, defend and attack at the same time, and turn a stronger opponent's force against them by manipulating their centre line. We start with a warm-up to get us fit and flexible, then we begin chi-energy training, which develops alignment with our breathing, body and stances to generate power. Afterwards we learn individually and in groups on defences and counters. Our members find that with diligence and discipline, they learn quickly how to defend themselves. Last year, we were awarded both Club of the Year and Rag Cup winners. Nothing demonstrates the true spirit of BLWHC more than this.
