Sporting Focus: QMBL Women's Rugby
This week we are shining the light onto our amazing Queen Mary Barts and the London Women’s Rugby Club! Get the low down on everything you need to know about this club below.
What makes your training sessions enjoyable?
Our training sessions are fun and friendly with the basis of them being team led to help us to recognise our strength and weaknesses therefore allowing us to improve . We run a mixture of skill drills and tactics e.g simple passing, tackling or game strategy alongside conditioning and games. Whether our ladies be new or seasoned players we help to build new skills, hone those already learnt and improve their strength and confidence whilst celebrating the achievements of women within sport.
What was your club’s biggest success of the past year?
Last year we were 2nd in our League and we have only been running for 5 years.
So why should you get involved?
We are a fun, friendly group of rugby-loving ladies who love hanging out with each other and have regular Wednesdays socials ranging from curries to Hail Mary's.
And a final fun fact about this club?
Our mascot is a gnome!
