Unofficial Freshers' events 2020

An update regarding our 2020 Freshers' events and Unofficial Freshers' events

We can’t wait to meet all the new students joining us at Queen Mary University in September! We know that attending our Freshers’ events are one of the best ways to truly embrace the university lifestyle, meet new people and have a great time.

We pride ourselves on the amount of effort we put into creating a fun packed events schedule for our new students, however it has come to our attention that external event companies are already promoting ‘official’ events related to our university. We advise you not to purchase any event tickets, as these are not endorsed by Queen Mary University. The current circumstances also mean these events may not take place, so we advise against buying any tickets at this time.

We intend to release our own Freshers' and Semester 1 events calendar in Mid-August when A-Level results have been announced. At this point, we should know more about the government guidelines for events that ensure the safety of all Queen Mary students. In the meantime, we're working hard to still deliver you a packed programme of events and a welcome experience for all students, whether you're planning to be at Queen Mary in-person, a mix of in-person and online or entirely online!

Please note the only official Queen Mary’s events will be advertised on our website at www.qmsu.org/events, social media channels and the Official Queen Mary Freshers' group. You can now also sign-up to our mailing list to be the first to hear about all our Freshers announcements, details of event tickets and exclusive offers and discounts. Sign-up now here.
