Want to know more about what happens at a Get Active session? Well you've come to the right place! Read our handy session guide for what to expect.

Welcome to Get Active! This handy guide tells you more about the different sessions on offer through Get Active. You don't need any prior experience to join a Get Active session and remember, if you like the sound of something but don't have the equipment - that's not a problem! You don't need any equipment at our sessions, everything is provided. 

Archery

Try out a cool new sport without commitment. It’s all about patience and coordination with no need to run around if you’re looking for something low impact.

Badminton

Play singles or doubles with your mates or ask one of our friendly staff members to join you on the court to teach you the basics, play an easy rally or even a full match.

Basketball

Work on your dribbling, shooting and tricks whilst playing at your own pace.

Cheerleading

Live your best Cheer life with these sessions run by the talented QM Angels Cheerleading Club and a fully qualified coach.

Dodgeball

Take it back to the school yard with this fun and silly sport! The main principles are easy.. throw the ball at members of the opposing team but don’t get hit by one!

Fencing

The perfect place for you to try this totally unique sport with the support of the amazing Fencing Club and a fully qualified coach.

Football

Fancy a kick about indoors with your mates? Practice your skills in between classes or if you’ve never played before, come down and give dribbling, shooting and goal keeping a go!

Futsal

Similar to football, futsal is played with much taller goals and a smaller, weighted ball. Reckon you’ve got what it takes to be great? Come and give it a go and find out with no commitment.

Gymnastics

Learn the basics like handstands, cartwheels and rolls. Develop your core strength, balance and flexibility at our open and friendly sessions. No experience needed!

Library Square Wednesday Pop-up

Play some relaxed games every Wednesday afternoon. Jump in for 5 minutes on your way across campus or hang out with us for the full session, either is great!

Table Tennis

Whether you call it table tennis or ping-pong, it’s super fun and a great way to meet new people.

Tag Rugby

Play rugby without getting tackled and learn the basics like passing and scoring. Watch out for the defenders though, as soon as you’re tagged you have to pass the ball!

Volleyball

Our indoor volleyball sessions are run by the brilliant Volleyball Club, who will teach you all the skills you need to know.

Wellbeing Walk

It’s super important to take a break from your studies and give your mind a rest once in a while. Join other students for a weekly Wellbeing Walk and explore the local area together. Walks include to Victoria Park, Limehouse Basin and many other destinations!

Tennis

Our awesome courses are great for beginners and intermediate players who want to improve their skills under the guidance of a fully qualified coach.

This Girl Can

We have a range of womenonly sessions. Why not try our Self Defence classes and learn the basics of a few different martial arts, or one of our TGC Basketball or TGC Futsal sessions.
