Course Rep Training

Find out more about our Course Rep Training here

We know that effective representatives are trained not born, so the Students' Union provides full training and support for all Course Reps.

Course Reps learn and develop valuable skills that help to improve their employability. All Course Reps are invited to the Education Awards ceremony at the end of the year where they receive a certificate to recognise their contribution.

This page contains details of the training available for Course Reps.

In order to qualify for a Course Rep Contribution Award, all First Year, other newly elected undergraduate Course Reps, Senior Reps and Postgraduate Taught and Research Reps must attend the 'Student Partnership Conference' on Saturday 26th October. If in the event a rep cannot attend, alternative 'Effective Representation' training sessions will be communicated. However, all reps are required to attend where possible.

Alternative Training Dates

The training for Semester A has now ended. We will be facilitating few sessions in Semester B (January 2020) for the Course Reps who were unable to attend in Semester A.

For more information please email the Education Coordinator at leigh.rooney@qmul.ac.uk

*please note – in order to be eligible to receive your ‘Course Rep Contribution Award’ at the end of the academic year, you must attend a training session (either the conference or an alternative session above). If you cannot attend any of these options, please contact Leigh on leigh.rooney@qmul.ac.uk
