Part-time Voluntary Alongside your studies

Being an international student can be an exciting adventure, but it also comes with unique challenges. In this role, you’ll be the voice of all international students at Queen Mary on topics such as community, support and finances.

Who can run? All Queen Mary international students can run for the role. The only requirements are that you must be a student in the academic year 2026/27 and be an international student.

Hi, I’m Qianyi — an international commuting PhD student running for International Students’ Representative. I understand visa stress, long commutes, and feeling lost in a new system. I want clearer support, stronger community, and real action on student concerns. Less confusion, more connection — let’s make international voices heard!
