Postgraduate Rep

Part-time Voluntary Alongside your studies

Postgrad life can be very different from the undergrad experience, and that’s why we have a dedicated Postgraduate Rep. In this role, you’ll be the voice of all Queen Mary postgrads (including postgrad taught and research) on everything to do with the experience of being a postgrad. Representing all postgrads is a big job, but don’t worry – you’ll be working closely with the PGT Course Reps, the PGR Subject Reps and the Postgrad Consultation Group.

Who can run? All Queen Mary postgrads can run for the role. The only requirements are that you must be a student in the academic year 2026/27 and be a postgrad.

Joanne Geraldo

Being a postgraduate student can, at times, feel overwhelming and disconnected so I’m running to strengthen the PGR and PGT experience by improving communication, academic support and access to wellbeing services. I’ll focus on community-building and better representation across the university so every student feels supported throughout their studies.

Aryan Rai

We juggle research, deadlines, and rising costs, yet our voices often go unheard. I am standing to change that. This is our moment to be heard —together— for every postgraduate across campus, because I believe a representative must be by the students, of the students, and for the students.
