Part-time Voluntary Alongside your studies

To thrive as a student (or work through those difficult moments that many students experience), you need the right support. In this role, you’ll be the voice of all Queen Mary students on matters relating to welfare. This includes physical and mental wellbeing, the cost-of-living crisis, housing and support services.

Who can run? All Queen Mary student can run for the role. The only requirement is that you must be a student in the academic year 2026/27.

Fazley Nirob

I want students to feel supported when things aren’t going well. As Welfare Rep, I’ll make sure student concerns are represented at SU level and that wellbeing is considered in the decisions we make.

Areej Adnan

Hi, I’m Areej Adnan, running to be your Welfare Representative because student wellbeing should never be an afterthought. University life can be overwhelming, from academic pressure to financial and mental health challenges. I will improve awareness of support services and ensure student voices are consistently represented. Vote Areej.
