Should the Union play Quest Radio in all Outlets?

QMSU notes:
  1. The campus outlets at QMSU are currently not unified by one radio station and the music played is often extremely mixed. The outlets never play Quest.
  2. By having Quest broadcast in the outlets it both promotes student media and could increase student’s involvement with the union while simultaneously creating a sense of consistency among them.
  3. Quest’s presenters have curated 4 time specific playlists with this in mind; all playing non explicit and inoffensive music that has been monitored and reviewed by the management team. These are based on popular radio playlists and students own tastes. Should it be decided that Quest were to be played, these regularly updated playlists with jingles every few songs is what would be heard. This means there will be no talk shows playing in the outlets so that the programming remains consistent and our presenters are free to broadcast as they wish.

QMSU believes:

Quest should be played in all Students Union outlets.

QMSU resolves:

The union should seek to get Quest played in the students union outlets.
