Quiet hours at Qmotion

As part of Disability awareness fortnight, we'll be trialling set "quiet times" at Qmotion Sport & Fitness Centre. Find out more here

As part of Disability awareness fortnight QMSU Sport will be trialling set "quiet times" at Qmotion Sport & Fitness Centre to further our commitment to create an inclusive, welcoming environment for all. Our aim is for the experience to be more comfortable for members with autism, high levels of social anxiety and also those who prefer working out in a quieter environment.

How will it be a ‘quiet time’?
  • No loud music over the fitness suite speakers;
  • Turning off of all public TV screens within the fitness suites;
  • Avoidance of public announcements (unless there is an emergency);
  • A polite request that all fitness users work out as quietly and respectively as possible.

The scheme will be in place Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 10.00am - 12.00pm.
