Proposed by: Lucy Madeley (ME RAG Officer)

What do you want?

For all toilets in QMSU buildings to have provisions for both purchasing individual sanitary products, and disposal of sanitary products.

Why do you want it?

There is currently limited provision across QMSU building toilets for both purchasing individual sanitary products, and disposal of sanitary products. This includes no provision for disposal of sanitary products in male toilets across QMSU buildings, it is important for QMSU to recognise that periods and sanitary products are not gendered, and all students should be able to access them in whichever toilets they prefer to use. There is also no provision to buy sanitary products in Drapers, meaning that students would have to leave event nights to purchase sanitary products, which is impractical and possibly dangerous.

What impact will this have?

It will mean that students who need sanitary products, and do not have the provisions on them, are able to buy individual products in QMSU toilets. It would also mean that students at Drapers events will not need to the leave the venue to purchase sanitary products.
