Our Queen Mary Hindu Society celebrated this year’s Diwali through their fantastic annual Mastani Ball! QMHS sold over 150 tickets, and the event, held on Friday 15 November, was a joint celebration with City University of London, King’s College London, London School of Economics, and Imperial College London. With nearly 800 attendees, the Mastani Ball was one of the biggest events of the month, leaving QMHS overwhelmed with positive feedback!

The evening kicked off with a welcoming speech from the leadership of QMHS and City University’s Hindu Society, celebrating a night of light and community. The Queen Mary Bhangra Society then dazzled the crowd with their high-energy performance, filling the hall with vibrant energy and cheers. In addition to enjoying a delicious selection of a two-course meal, attendees were entertained with a mesmerising performance from the Queen Mary Bollywood Society. The evening wrapped up on the dance floor with an incredible set by the DJ, ensuring the party ended on a high! Throughout the evening, attendees enjoyed posing at our photobooths and treating themselves at the ice cream stall. This event was a true testament to team effort and wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of the team: Adithya Kantheti, Shamil Patel, Tania Bansal, Maya Vekaria, Isha Durgale, and the collaborative spirit of the events teams from City, King's, LSE, and Imperial. See if you can spot them in the committee pictures!

"We’re so excited about what’s ahead, including the annual Maharaja Ball and Holi celebrations. Thank you to everyone who made the Diwali Ball such a memorable night. We can’t wait to create more invaluable moments together!"
