We’ve proud to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for Best Students’ Union in the 2025 WhatUni Student Choice Awards and we’re so here for it!

We’re proud to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for Best Students’ Union in the 2025 WhatUni Student Choice Awards and we’re so here for it!

What makes this recognition extra special? This award is 100% based on real student feedback - from surveys, interviews, and on-campus chats with the top scores in every category earning a spot on the shortlist. So, students like you made this happen.

Being shortlisted for this award really does recognise all the energy, dedication and efforts our student staff, reps, clubs, societies and volunteers pour into QMSU every single day – alongside our committed full-time career staff who help to deliver the wide range of activities, opportunities and services offered throughout the year.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s contributed to the many positive highlights and successes so far this year. You’ve helped us towards our mission of “We Listen, We Act, We Improve Students’ Lives” and made a real difference to each individual’s student experience here at Queen Mary – and that really does deserve all the hype!

Here’s what our Students’ Union President, Tahmid Khan, had to say:

“This nomination reflects how hard our student leaders, staff and volunteers at QMSU work for students all year round. The passion and drive to listen to students, take action on feedback, and create unforgettable campaigns, opportunities and experiences to change student lives has really shone through, embodying our mission as a student-led organisation.  A massive thanks to everyone for making QMSU such a vibrant and supportive space for everyone - there’ve been so many standout moments this year and it’s all down to you.”

The winners will be selected by an independent panel and will be announced later this month at the awards ceremony - but for us, just being shortlisted is a huge win already!
