Each year, ten part time Student Representatives are elected to speak up for students across all courses, campuses and backgrounds. All of them are current Queen Mary students that volunteer their time to represent you. They work together as part of the Student Representative Committee (also known as the SRC) alongside the full time Executive Officers to improve student life and ensure your voice is heard.
Student Representatives focus on different areas of the student experience, and together they cover the wide range of needs within our community. Although each role has its own area of focus, all Student Representatives share the same core purpose: listening to students and taking action on what matters most. They collect feedback, meet regularly to discuss student concerns and work closely with elected officers, staff, student groups and university partners to bring about meaningful change.
Student Representatives also help oversee parts of the Students’ Union’s democratic structure. They review and implement policies that are passed at the All Student Meetings, scrutinise the work of the Executive Officers, and help decide how funding is allocated to student forums and campaigning groups.
If you have feedback or suggestions about student life, you can contact your Student Reps. You can find their contact details on their individual pages, or you can submit your idea through the form below.
